Our mission is to provide a fun tour, on lightly traveled safe roads, good food, comfortable housing, with friendly dependable staff, and do this at a reasonable price.
FOX VALLEY TOUR
At Powwow Bicycle Tours, we strive for excellence in the bike tour experience. Each of our tours is designed to provide a unique alternative to the usual. Of course we provide scenic, well marked routes, with easy to read Q sheets, excellent sag service, and luggage service, but here is the "Powwow Difference".
Our Fox Valley Tour offers 6 days of riding, with an average of 58.3 miles per day, through the back roads of beautiful southeastern Wisconsin. This is an "all inclusive tour” with comfortable overnight accommodations in college dorm rooms. Clean bed linens, towels, and excellent shower facilities, with no waiting, are provided every night. You will also enjoy "all you care to eat" breakfasts and dinners each day no additional cost. An enjoyable one night stay at the famous Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake, Wis. is also included.
There is a limit of 135 riders, so we can get to know you, and provide personalized service. Nightly briefings are held to address the following days route, which is rechecked the day before you ride, to avoid any last minute surprises. Points of interest, and lunch stops are also suggested. During the ride you are on your own for lunch, but we make sure that the "recommended stops" are aware of your arrival and can easily accommodate you. On Thursday evening, we have a special surprise that we are sure you will get a kick out of.
Qualified bike technicians are available to service mechanical problems each evening at no cost, except for parts, as needed.
As you ride, our sag wagon service is, of course, always available to you. Along with a bike tech, tools, tires and tubes, we also provide ice water. Even if you need a ride back to the dorm, for any reason, we can help.
This ride is designed as a loop, so all you do is arrive on Sunday morning, park your vehicle in the secure area, unload your bike, register, and check in your luggage. Breakfast is provided, and then you are ready to go. We return to the same location on Friday. Shower facilities are provided, but please bring your own towel. A picnic lunch is also provided. There are no shuttle busses or bike transport trucks used on any Powwow ride. At the end of the ride, your vehicle is there for you, right where you left it.
